A Non-resident Nigerian (NRN) account is a bank account that allows Nigerians living abroad to access banking services in Nigerian banks.
NRN accounts are offered by some Nigerian banks and allow account holders to open and operate accounts from anywhere in the world.

*Remit foreign earnings:* Send money from abroad to Nigeria

NRN Accounts can't be used to receive payments from others.

Requirements for each bank varies but the list below is more than sufficient to open NRN accounts in any of the banks
1. BVN (Diasporas Without BVN see below)
2. Scancopy of Nigerian ID (NIN or International Passport - regardless of whether expired or not)
3. Completed account opening form
4. Notarized foreign ID
5. Proof of address: water bills, power bills, or lease agreements.
6. Proof of source of funds
7. Passport photo
8. Reference letter

Nigerians living abroad can register for a Bank Verification Number (BVN) online through the Non-resident Bank Verification Number (NRBVN).
