*Distinguished Frank Mba is the most favored Police officer in NPF*
He was given double promotions within 4 months in 2023 (AIG in March, and DIG in June), overtaking his seniors in ranks, *a record that raised eyebrows* - you can factcheck this online.
I don't agree with anyone saying that Nigeria has happened to him because he wasn't appointed the IG.
To be retired, there are 8 serving DIGs in NPF, he's not alone.
4 from the Hausa. 2 Yoruba. 1 Delta. 1 Igbo.
The president has his reasons for his choice of appointments.
*Nobody questioned if Vice Admiral Ikechukwu Ogalla was the highest ranking in Nigeria Navy when he was appointed the Chief of Naval Staff.*
*Nobody questioned if Air Marshal Sunday Aneke was the highest ranking in Air Force when he was appointed the Chief of Air Staff. Two Enugu Sons.*
Because the President didn't appoint another Enugu man the IG of police doesn't make him Nepotistic, he has been fair in his appointments of Service Chiefs.
DIG Frank Mba maybe the best IG of police we never had but we shouldn't play the victim cards at all times.

I don’t understand why some people are crying as if Nigeria will collapse because one person was not appointed.
So because Frank Mba was not made Inspector-General, the whole country should go on strike? Is he the only DIG in Nigeria? Are there not 8 DIGs the President could choose from?
We have Frank Mba (Enugu), Mohammed Usaini Gumel (Jigawa), Adebola Ayinde Hamzat (Kwara), Yahaya Abubakar (Niger), Basil Okuoma Idegwu (Delta), Bzigu Yakubu Kwazhi (Adamawa), Sadiq Idris Abubakar (Kano), and Adebowale Williams (Ogun).
Those who have four are not shouting. The Delta people is not threatening anybody. But the people who have one are acting as if Nigeria belongs to them alone.
Leadership is not by entitlement. It is not by emotion. It is not by noise.
The President has constitutional powers to appoint whoever he deems fit as Inspector-General. If he chooses from the DIGs, fine. If he decides to appoint an AIG instead, that is within his authority.
If you want to wipe your tears, wipe them. If you don’t want to wipe them, that is your choice. Government will continue to function.
