Japa Syndrome: Think Twice Before You Leap

Many Nigerians are considering leaving the country, but have you thought it through? 🤔 Often, people don't listen until it's too late. They sell everything, jump on a plane, and realize life abroad isn't as rosy as they thought.

Shame and financial struggles can make it hard to return.

*Nigeria Has Its Advantages*

1. *Healthcare*: Waiting times for medical treatment can stretch for months abroad. In Nigeria, you can get treated faster. For instance, a certain medical scan costs $9,000 (over N12 million) abroad, but only N67,000 in Nigeria. Medical tourism is booming here for a reason! 🏥

2. *Taxes*: If you're on a tight budget, Nigeria's got you. Tax for the poor is 0%, while abroad it can be as high as 40%.

3. *Affordable Living*: House rent abroad can take up to a third of your salary or more. In Nigeria, you can live comfortably without breaking the bank.

*A Final Note*

If you're set on japa, go for it – but know that it's not a guarantee. It might be your destiny, or it might not.

Either way, think carefully before making a decision that'll affect your life.

Wishing you all the best on your journey, whatever you decide 🌟.
