Federal Government Developed App for Crime Reporting

(15 August 2024)

The Federal Government of Nigeria has developed a mobile application called "Mobilizer" to help youths and grassroots communities report crimes in real-time.

This app aims to enhance the efforts of security agencies, including the Nigerian Police and military, in tracking and apprehending criminals swiftly.

The app was introduced by the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Issa Lanre-Onilu, during a meeting at the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja.

The initiative underscores the importance of involving youths in government programs to prevent violence and promote unity¹.
