No more business as usual: Godswill Akpabio vowed to remove senate committees chairmen that don't know how to use their power

 

“Be the chairman of the committee, and you don't know how to use the constitution or your power, you don't need to bring it to plenary. All you simply do is let us know that you don't know what to do, and we will change you and give it to another senator who knows how to you.”

“The parliament, in law, has the power to turn a man into a woman and a woman into a man,” stated Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who vowed to remove senators from chairing senate committees if they do not know how to use their authority to summon ministers, heads of agencies, and contractors.

This is more like it... We need more of this stance at all arms of government:

• PBAT's had demonstrated this after removing all the deadwood ministers in less than 15 months 
• SP Godswill Akpabio is demostrating effective governance in the House of Senate 
• Justice Minister - Fagbemi rose up to the occasion to liberate LGs from the shackles of bondage imposed by states' Governors.
