PBAT's Reforms Gradually Getting Nigeria Out of the Woods

The restructuring of Nigeria which many of us have promoted for years is almost here:

1.  Local Government Autonomy

2. Tax Bill (VAT Revenue Distribution)

3. INEC to Conduct LG and States Election on the same election year on the same day. Then, there won't be any governor to manipulate LG government elections.

4. Effective Policing - based on the peculiar nature of Nigerians, state police would be Counter-productive due to the nature of some states' governors. 

A better way would be, instead of State Police, Nigerian Police Force can switch to recruit personnel from each LGA. And each employed police be deployed to their respective LG of origin for effective state policing - it is as simple as that.

At present, many states governments are over-using their power on LG and  States' Assemblies. 

Adding State Police would make them too powerful to do and undo as they like with States Police.
