The Menace of Power Companies in Nigeria

Senator Adams Oshiomole recently spoke about revisiting the electricity privatization in Nigeria, highlighting the challenges faced by consumers.

The problems with power companies in Nigeria are multifaceted:

1.Unfair Burden on Customers: Consumers are forced to purchase transformers and cables, and also pay for their installation.

If they refuse, they won't be connected to the power grid.

2. Denied Customers Prepaid Meters: Power companies deny customers prepaid meters, so as to be able to put them on estimated billing.

The estimated bill makes possible that Power companies get paid regardless of whether the customers receive adequate service or not.

Leadership Guidance: It's essential for Nigeria's leaders to guide the country forward, breaking free from the grip of power holdings that have held the nation hostage for far too long.

God bless Nigeria!
